Tahmeed Hossain

Welcome! I am a PhD candidate in Economics at Southern Methodist University. My research interests span Public Policy, Development Economics, and Household Finance. I use quasi-experimental methods to study how institutions, policies, and financial markets influence socio-economic outcomes.

Current projects include studies of historical institutional persistence, consumer financial distress and bankruptcy, credit access barriers, and the economic impacts of public events.
